If you've ever been caught with your army out gathering while a stronger player marches on your city, you already know how clutch teleporters can be in Whiteout Survival. I've wasted plenty of teleports early on, so let me save you some pain. They are not just 'move city' buttons; they are your escape plan, your attack launchpad, and your event shortcut all rolled into one.
Before You Teleport: The Non-Negotiables
I always check these boxes before pressing that button:
-
Recall every troop. If any soldiers are gathering, reinforcing, or marching, the game will not let you relocate. Pull them all inside your walls first.
-
Have the right item. Each teleporter type has its own rules. No item? You'll either buy it or wait for a recharge.
-
Find a valid destination. You need at least four open map squares. Resource nodes, enemy cities, and beast spawns block the spot.
-
Know the territory limits. The Advanced Teleporter cannot drop you directly inside enemy Alliance Territory, while a Random Teleporter can still fling you there. That difference matters more than it seems.
The Four Teleporter Types at a Glance
| Teleporter | Best For | Main Source | Watch Out For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Random | Looting, escaping, chaotic PvP | Growth tab recharge, Alliance Shop, Nomadic Shop | Completely unpredictable landing |
| Alliance | Joining your R5 and alliance group | Alliance Shop, events, Nomadic Merchant | Random spot near leader, not exact |
| Territory | Safe return inside your alliance area | Alliance Shop, Nomadic Merchant | Only lands near your HQ |
| Advanced | Exact relocation anywhere in state | Alliance Shop, VIP Shop, events, Nomadic Merchant | Cannot enter enemy territory; costly |
Random Teleporter: Embrace the Chaos
This is the one I use when I don't need precision. The Random Teleporter zips your city to a completely random map location. You can grab it from the Growth tab under your profile arrow—where up to 10 can recharge over time—or from your backpack.

Why would anyone want random movement? Easy: surprise looting, sudden escapes, or even a name change after a dirty PvP play to confuse pursuers. During State of Power, the Random Teleporter becomes especially fun because you can roam the conquered state for PvP or resources. Just remember it can drop you into another alliance's territory, so don't use it if you're trying to play safe.
Alliance Teleporter: Stay With the Pack
When coordination matters, I choose the Alliance Teleporter. It sends you to a random valid spot near your alliance's R5. Open your backpack, select it, hit Use, and pick from the landing zones the game offers.

I love this for Bear Events because you can appear right next to the trap and stack damage. It's also brilliant for Castle, Fortress, and Foundry battles when your R5 wants everyone grouped. And if I'm out of Territory Teleporters, this is my backup ride home. Pricing is usually around 80,000 Alliance Tokens in the Alliance Shop, and events or the Nomadic Merchant sometimes hand one over.
Territory Teleporter: The Safe Return
This is my take-me-home button. The Territory Teleporter places you inside your alliance's territory near the highest-level headquarters—Tundra HQ if your alliance has it, otherwise Icefield HQ.

Use it after PvP to regroup, after events to resettle, or as a last resort when enemies are incoming. In the early game, I used it just to position myself properly inside the alliance zone. The Alliance Shop usually has it for about 40,000 Alliance Tokens, and the Nomadic Merchant occasionally stocks it.
Advanced Teleporter: The Premium Tool
If I need to go exactly there, this is the only real option. Click a map spot, select Teleport, choose the Advanced Teleporter icon, and confirm. You can relocate anywhere inside your state except enemy territory.

Is it expensive? Absolutely. Without one in your inventory, using it costs 4,000 gems. That's why I treat Advanced Teleporters like gold. But they're worth it for hitting an enemy alliance's border, moving an R4 or R5 to guard facilities, or snapping back to your alliance after a bad defeat. You can get them from the Alliance Shop at full price of 130,000 Alliance Tokens—wait for discounts if possible—or from the VIP Shop, which often offers two per week for 2,000 gems each. The Foundry Battle can reward two free ones, and State of Power PvP/castle fights sometimes drop them too.
Smart Teleporter Habits I Actually Use
-
Spend the leader's teleport first. During events, I'll have the R5 or R4 burn an Advanced Teleporter to reach the critical spot. Everyone else follows with Alliance Teleporters, saving the expensive item.
-
Check shops daily. The VIP Shop can cut prices by up to 60%, and the Alliance Shop/Nomadic Merchant rotate stock often.
-
Watch Foundry and Frostfire costs. Each follow-up teleport in those battles gets more expensive until you hit a free one. I teleport more aggressively in Foundry because quick repositioning usually matters more there.
-
Save Territory and Alliance teleporters for defensive calls. Burning them for minor convenience is how you end up stuck with no safe retreat.
Final Thoughts
At the end of the day, teleporters are not just convenience items—they're a resource economy. If you prioritize rechargeable Random Teleporters, use Alliance and Territory options for group safety, and reserve Advanced Teleporters for those game-changing exact moves, you'll always have an answer when the map turns against you. That's the kind of mobility that wins wars in Whiteout Survival.
